SMS Privacy Policy

When you sign up for text messages from Elite Wound Experts (the “Service”), you agree to receive SMS/text messages related to your relationship with Elite Wound Experts and, where applicable, our affiliates and service partners. These messages may include (but are not limited to):

• Appointments & Scheduling: new appointments, confirmations, reminders, location updates, home-visit ETAs.
• Secure Communications: notifications with secure links to view documents or messages in a protected portal (we avoid sending detailed health information within SMS).
• Referrals & Care Updates: referral status notifications and coordination messages.

Health-related information provided via SMS is not a substitute for professional medical advice, does not establish a patient–provider relationship, and is not for emergencies. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By enrolling (e.g., providing your mobile number on our forms, checking a consent box online, texting us first, or replying “YES” to an enrollment message), you represent that you are at least 18 and that you consent to receive recurring messages from Elite Wound Experts at the mobile number you provided. Consent is not a condition of receiving treatment or services. 

You can cancel the Service at any time. Reply “STOP” to any message you receive from us. After you send “STOP,” we will send a confirmation SMS that you have been unsubscribed from that specific program/number. You will no longer receive messages from that program/number. If you are enrolled in multiple Elite Wound Experts SMS programs or numbers, you must opt out separately for each. To re-enroll later, follow the original signup process. 

For help, reply “HELP” to any message. We will respond with instructions on how to contact support and how to unsubscribe. You can also contact us at info@elitewoundexperts.com or (616) 616‑5987 for assistance with the Service. 

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Elite Wound Experts may suspend, modify, or terminate the Service (in whole or in part) at any time, with or without notice. Carrier participation, features, and availability may change without notice. Neither Elite Wound Experts nor the mobile carriers are responsible for delayed, failed, or undelivered messages. 

Message frequency varies by program and your interaction (e.g., appointment cadence, care plan, or alerts). Message and data rates may apply. If you have questions about your text or data plan, please contact your mobile carrier. 

We may change the short code(s) or telephone number(s) we use to deliver the Service. If that happens, we will notify you by sending a message from the new short code or number. Messages (including STOP or HELP) sent to a retired number may not be received, and we are not responsible for honoring requests made to retired numbers. 

You represent that you are the current account holder or have the owner’s permission for the mobile number(s) you provide for the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current information and to promptly notify us if your mobile number changes. You are responsible for securing your device and safeguarding messages on it. 

Standard SMS is not a secure channel for detailed health or financial information. We strive to avoid sending protected health information (PHI) in SMS and may instead send you a secure link to our portal or secure messaging platform for sensitive content, forms, or results. Do not send confidential information to us by SMS. If sensitive communication is required, we will guide you to a secure method. 

If you are dissatisfied with the Service or these terms, your sole remedy is to disenroll via the STOP command as described above. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Elite Wound Experts and participating carriers disclaim all warranties related to the Service and are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from or related to the Service. 

Your use of the Service is also governed by Elite Wound Experts’ Website Privacy Policy and, as applicable, our Notice of Privacy Practices (HIPAA). We may update this SMS Privacy Policy at any time. Changes take effect when posted or otherwise communicated to you through the Service.
